What is
Remapping?
A. ECU remapping is the term used to describe the
process of re-programming your cars ECU (Engine
Control Unit) via the OBD port on your vehicle.
All modern vehicles are fitted with an ECU and an
OBD plug inabling us to connect to the ECU.
Remapping your ECU
will give you increased performance, lower down
torque, mid range will improve, flat spots removed,
and better fuel economy.
We do a tailor made programme for any modification
which you may have on the vehicle optimizing your
engines performance.
Can my vehicle be re-mapped at my place of work
or home or do I need to come to you?
A. We offer a Mobile service across the UK, Ireland
& Scotland whether that be your home, office or
place of work, we do try & group distance customers
together.
Is remapping your ECU legal?
A. Yes remapping your vehicle is entirely legal and
there is no law against this.
Will I have to inform my Insurance Company?
A. We advise all of our customers to notify their
insurance company of any vehicle modification.
Remapping your vehicle is not easily detected, with
the right tools some Dealers/Insurance companies can
detect the change in software. Once a vehicle
has been Remapped, it will benefit from increased
performance therefore the insurer should be made
aware of this. There are some Insurance
companies who can insure modified vehicles without
the premium being affected.
Can my car be returned to its original state?
A. Yes, your vehicle can be returned to its original
settings at anytime, we keep the stock file for your
car in our records, all I ask is that you bring the
car to me.
You do not list my vehicle - does this mean it
can't be done?
A. Our products pages are being updated on a regular
basis, however if you do not see your vehicle listed
please contact us for more information.
How long does the process take?
A. The whole process takes from 1-1.5hrs from start
to finish depending on the vehicle.
We keep a copy of the original file in our records.
